In 1996 he weighed over 350 pounds, but in 2011 Fat Joe released his new body, and his new single “Drop a Body” showing that he had lost almost 90 pounds! 2. Fat Joe has been Convicted of Tax Evasion!

Fat Joe was sentenced to 4 months in federal prison in 2013 for failing to pay taxes on over 3.3 million dollars of income between 2007 and 2011. He eventually agreed to a plea bargain. Because of his charity work on behalf of his former grad school in the Bronx, along with his cooperation in the case, the judge was fairly lenient on him, allowing him to serve only four months in prison and pay a little over a quarter of a million dollars in back taxes to the IRS.

Fat Joe grew up in the public housing in the Bronx, New York in the 1970s. This was a tough time for his family, and he says that he was bullied. Due to difficult financial circumstances at home, he has admitted that for a time he stole in order to help out his family at home. He has said that meeting the rapper Big Pun kept him out of a life of complete crime.
