Carlos Slim Helu, better known simply as Carlos Slim, is one of the most well-known business men in Mexico and all of Latin America. He is also one of the richest people in the world. Slim was born in 1940 in Mexico City, Mexico, where he still lives. His took his first job at the age of 17, working for his father for about 15 dollars a week.
