1. At One Time Amal Alamuddin Clooney Weighted Under 100 Pounds

Amal Clooney is 5’8″ tall, and while she has always been a strikingly tall and slender woman, she went through a period after her wedding when her weight dropped to unhealthy levels. Experts estimated that she got down to as low as 90 pounds. A healthy weight for a woman with a slender frame such as hers is between 126 – 140 pounds, with a BMI between 19 and 24. If estimates were correct, Amal’s BMI was a very unhealthy 13 – 14 at her lowest. Rumors were floating around that the Clooneys hired a nutritionist to get her back to a more healthy weight. Now that Amal is pregnant with twins, that number will change.

2. Pink is Amal Clooney’s Favorite Color

With her Lebanese and British heritage, Amal looks beautiful in almost any color. However, her favorite color is pink. Pink gets its color characteristics from red (passion, energy, power) and white (purity, gentleness, openness). She favors a softer pink as opposed to hot or vibrant pinks. Soft pink is a color that means “hope” (think about the pink ribbon used for breast cancer awareness). People who love soft pink are insightful, intuitive, empathetic, and compassionate. These traits are demonstrated in Clooney’s work as a Human Rights activist and attorney. She combines her soft pink with darker colors such as black, navy, and dark grey which give her a more sophisticated look.

5. Career & Salary Info

Baria still resides in Buckinghamsire, which is also where her daughter, an international citizen who speaks French, Arabic, and English officially resides as well.   Alamuddin’s grandmother was the first woman to graduate American University in Beirut.  Alamuddin was featured on a Tumblr blog as the Hottest Barrister in London.  The webmaster specifically stated Alamuddin was “…achieving the seemingly unattainable ideal of contemporary femininity: she is both breathtakingly beautiful and formidably successful,” She also has approximately 1,800 followers on twitter including Ashton Kutcher and Julia Gillard – the former prime minister of Australia.

Of course the big news these days (September 2014), is that George Clooney and Amal have finally tied the knot and are were recently married in Venice, Italy!

The now Mrs. Clooney received her Bachelor’s and L.L.B from St Hugh’s College at Oxford University where she won the prestigious Shrigley Award.  She then went on to get her Masters of Law from New York University School of Law where again she displayed intellectual prowess winning the Jack J. Katz Memorial award for excellence in entertainment law. During her time as a law student she was a student law clerk for now-Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor then judge at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Just getting into NYU School of Law is quite a feat, but clerking for a judge sitting on the Federal Court of Appeals is an extraordinary accomplishment. Following her graduation from law school, Alamuddin was a practicing criminal defense lawyer and part of the investigations group at the prestigious Sullivan & Cromwell LLP firm in their New York office for 3 years.  Some of her clients while there included the accounting firm Arthur Anderson and Enron.  Alamuddin is currently a Barrister (elite lawyer) in London and participates in the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice and European Court of Human Rights.  She has been a Prosecutor of Special Tribunal for Lebanon, legal adviser to the head of UNIIIC in Beirut, advised governments, on a variety of United Nations commissions and advised Kofi  Annan.  If that were not resume enough, she is also a scholar having co-edited the book “The Special Tribunal for Lebanon: Law and Practice” as well as having authored several chapters of books published by Oxford University Press.  Most notably she represented Julian Assange in his extradition trial.  She is also a guest lecturer on the topic of international law at SOAS (University of London), The New School in New York, The Hague Academy of International Law, and UNC Chapel Hill.

6. Estimated Net Worth Info

Alamuddin’s net worth can only be guessed at but her mother’s house in Buckinghamshire is valued at $1.4 million and it is known that her family is a wealthy distinguished family making her actual net worth hard to pin down if in fact she has inherited any of that wealth.  However lawyers at Sullivan & Cromwell make approximately $200k to $300k per year.  Tuition costs at at Oxford University ranges from approximately $3,000 per year to $15,000 dollars ( 9 thousand pounds) per year for legal studies.  Tuition at New York University School of Law is $53,000 today (total costs with room and board is estimated by the NYU on their website to be $81,000 per year in 2014).  However it is not  unreasonable to assume that Alamuddin is such a talent that she was awarded academic scholarships nor is it unreasonable to assume that Alamuddin’s family was able to pay for her tuition.  Some would argue that she followed the normal route of  going into private practice for a few years making the big bucks to pay off loans before going into public service.  Public servants, in general, are not paid nearly as well as those that practice law in the private sector.   Also it is not known if the legal beauty works for herself or is officially employed as a public servant in the work she does internationally for organizations such as the UN and individuals such as Julian Assange.  If she was able to save 10% of her income while working for Sullivan & Cromwell and continues to make approximately the same income since, she would have saved approximately $20,000 per year and have a total of about $240,000 saved.  Certainly the barrister has superb taste and always looks amazing so just based on that, which, granted, is highly subjective and a bit shallow, it can be assumed that Alamuddin, well, at least looks like a million bucks.

Classmates in school have gone on record to say she was never one to go out much choosing instead to study.  They also noted her passion for human rights issues.  It appears the Clooney, himself extremely passionate about human rights issues, has met his soulmate!

So What is Amal Alamuddin’s Actual Net Worth? $2 Million!
