Mac Miller’s first album sold more than 350,000 copies, and went as high as number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Miller was the first man to have an independently distributed first album reach the top of the charts since “Tha Dogg Pound” in 1995. While his second album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, was better received by critics, it did not rack up similar sales numbers. This album was released in 2013, and opened to third spot on the Billboard 200 charts. Miller has sold close to 200,000 copies of the album in the United States. Miller is also famous for appearing in duets with other artists. A duet that Miller sang with singer-songwriter Ariana Grande, titled The Way, has been a constant presence in the Billboard Top 100 tracks list for the past few months.
